JD Power Long Term Ratings for 94-95 940s

I can't think of a reason for it, unless the group included 1995+ 960 models. There wre significant changes in the 960 for 1995 and they were not all for the better.
Primarily, I will bet that every single owner has had to either change door panels, or put up with ugly wrinkled vinyl on the doors. This was a major mistake on Volvo's part, and affected just about every car. Replacement was of course a major undertaking and if I'm not mistaken, about $800 per car. That would leave a bad taste in my mouth if I were the owner of a high-end car like this.
If the sample group excludes 960s, I can only guess it's an anomaly. The 95 940 is a fine car and they should have continued selling it here well past that date as they did in the rest of the world.
