power steering pulley 900

Ok, so I changed the power steering pump on my 91 940 turbo wagoon this weekend, and got a little frustrated yanking the pulley. I eventually found a 12 dollar puller at pep boys that made it pop off like the shaft was greased. go figure. Here is my question: I, ah, well... lets just say that in the fracas the pulley got a little, well, um... bent. Pretty badly. Actually, now when the rpms are above 2000 the pulley and belt just kind of disappear in a blur. Lets just say that a nagging wife and a good dose of rain aided the bending a bit. So, I will go for a junk yard pulley over the coming weekend. Will I ruin the new pump by letting my wife drive it to pick up the kids from scool for the next five days? Its a ten minute trip.

Opinions please. Thanks
