Cutting out intermittently. 900 1992

i dont drive the wifes 92 960 very often.while coasting(not touching the gas)between 45-55mph only, and when slightly accellerating there's a jerk in the drivetrain.i've not been able to tell if it's the engine or the transmission.when we purchased her 960 2 yrs. ago it was very slightly noticeable and replacing the plugs(volvo 3 electrode)seemed to help.i've checked grounds and replaced CMP sensor last winter for 3-1-4 codes.two,A1 codes i have now(been cleared)1-2-4 & 1-4-3 have not helped.i've disconnected the kickdown plug on the throttle cable, replaced the mode switch, and replaced the TPS with a known good one.
the wife will not inform me of any problem on her car as long as it starts and moves down the road.spending $$$$$ on maint. is a waste of money in her eyes.she's convinced everyone i'm a fanatic.i mere'ly ask"when's the the last time you had to walk home"?'nough said on that.
