No Start....computer says idle vavle...... 900 1992

Hey all,

So my mother goes down to the store in her 92 940 N/A with 168,000 miles on it to get her coffee before work and the car doesn't start. Turns over though. The LED in the little terminal box under the hood on the drivers side but the strut tower spit out code 2-2-3 which is idle stabilizer valve.
Is there something I can do to bypass it and see if the car starts just to be sure thats the problem?
If i remember correctly, idle valves are over $200 at ipd....
