Wipers - Intermittent Setting Doesn't Work 200 1993

I guess I need to reseal my front windshield as well.

I just dug the wiper relay out this morning. It is behind the carpet where the driver rests his left foot. When you pull off the felt bib that is buttoned underneath the dash you will see a nest of wires going down into the carpet where your left foot rests. If you gently pull up on those wires you will end up pulling out the wiper relay and maybe the rear wiper relay as well. My front wiper relay case was made out of black plastic, but my car is a 1986 so yours could be a different color if they changed stuff.

Mine was full of water and corroded. I popped the outer casing to the relay off and poured out the water. Then I went to work cleaning the circuit board, resisters, contacts, transistors, and tranformer on the board with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol. Let the alcohol dry, put the casing back on, and plugged it back it. Wipers then worked like a charm.

Good Luck
