164E Ignition Locked up...help 140-160

The key got stuck in my 164 in the same way you describe here.
In my case, it got stuck in the "on" position, which was handy
because otherwise I would have been stranded (instead I just
disconnected the battery and bump started the car; it was a
manual instead of an auto).

I bought some graphite spray stuff and squirted it into the
ignition lock and it freed up the key almost instantly. I then
used some more to lubercate the ignition and it didn't freeze
up at all after that.
