Adjusting misaligned sunroof tracking cable? 900 1991

I hope I am understanding the question

I had/have this same issue with my 960. If you remove the motor, you should be able to manually adjust the cable by sliding the assembly forward or backward. It would appear as though the cog attached to the motor that drives the cable provides tension while the motor is in place. If memory serves the motor is held in place by 2 phillips screws and either a 10 or 11 MM nut. The FAQ might have the correct size. In order to not place too much strain on the wires, i loosened the nut enough to disengage the motor from the cable but not so much that the motor was dangling by the wires.

Good luck and if I may emphasize a point made in the FAQ, do not apply too much pressure on the slide gate when realigning, they tend to break. Good Luck.
