6304 crank vent system, flame trap 900 1992

I just got back for a 1000km trip to Prince George and back today with our 960GLE, and I notice that from time to time when idling at a stop light I can smell a bit of crank fumes. Does the 6304 have a flame trap such as does the 4 cyl, and would it need to be serviced in much the same way? If truth be told, I have noticed this odour the very odd time over the past two years, but have noticed no other peculiarities or irregualrities with the engine. It is serviced regularly and runs very well, with 199,000 on the clock. There is no evidence of any oil leaks yet, and when running there does not seem to be any positive pressure at the dip stick.
This car is one beautiful highway car going through the mountain passes, and seems to love running at high speed; too bad Mother Volvo did not see fit to equip it with a standard tranny and some anti-sway bars.
Your help is appreciated.
Cheers
