Injection Fuel Pump 140-160

The pump I currently have is leaking more than just 'seeping slightly', it leaks a lot... Has anyone tried opening up the pump? (beyond taking of the top/pump by means of the four screws)

So what would be a good way to be able to already fit an electric pump and plumbing, and also be able to run carbs/mechanical pump? In the future I want to be able to switch between carbs and injection without the need for work on the bottom of the car and the plumbing.
