automatic shifter bushing done today, my experience 700 1990

Hi Ken,

I also replaced all 3 of my shifter bushings in my recently acquired
740 sedan.

There was not a shread of evidence of old bushings just loose and sloppy
linkages. I am in Hawaii so there was no corrosion to deal with making the
installation quite easy ~ 30 minutes total.

The FAQ's were invaluable in diagnosing the problem and in the simple repair.
I even had photos printed for reference. I would consider this a very easy DIY job
but didn't have to deal with the cold or corroded parts.

Bought the bushings from FCP for a couple of bucks and what a difference.

Good to know you also had success.
