Could it be the coil? 1800 1970

It's extremely intermittent. Definitely not the TPS. I'm an old hand at cleaning and adjusting these. In this case, the TPS is nearly brand new, but I still cleaned and re-adjusted it.

I have a vacuum gauge hooked up inside the cabin. Usually, at idle, the needle is pretty steady. But when this miss thing is happeneing, at idle the needle oscillates pretty wildly.

A leak down test initially led me to the "valve job" theory. But I ran some some expensive, high-tech decarbonizer through the system and that really helped the problem. The miss went from full time to intermittent. I think I may have had two problems.

The suggestion about an ignition analysis is probably one I should heed. Of course, with my luck, the problem wouldn't happen when they hooked it up, That's why I suspect that old coil and would like to replace that first.
