How do I disconnect the fuel injectors from the fuel lines? 200 1984

Well he is dealing with a '79 240, a non-turbo car. That is an entirely different beast, he has hard plastic lines and you have the steel lines. The plastic lines are free to move around quite a bit and the steel ones are not only steel but they are mounted in those little blocks. I have never tried doing it that way because every other Volvo tech that I have worked with has done it the way I laid out and part of servicing the injectors on those old cars was to put them on the injector cleaner and clean them out. On a normally aspirated car you take them out just as he says. Pull the bolt, pull the injector with the cup and then unscrew the injector from the line. In fact if you are not going to clean the injectors then it is completely uneccesary to remove them from the line. You could probably get away with pulling them with the steel lines still attached but it is going to be a little hard on them. Otherwise you would remove them and just push it aside and pull the injector and cup out and service them.
