200/700 Clutch cross-compatibility 700 1987

A couple hours of limited research seem to indicate that the M45 is, for all intents and purposes, the same overall hardware as the M46, just without the external O/D unit or the electronics associated with it. this also means I am most likely going to be able to, on top of swapping the clutch assembly, swap the shift lever portion for the threaded variant and install the Hurst Shift knob of Very Much Improved Comfort(tm). well, I hope so, at least. thoughts on that last part?
