240 Rear Clunk. Please help!! 200

Hello everyone, I just have a quick question to ask. During acceleration I can hear/feel a nice clunk from the rear of the car. It only happens right as the transmission shifts from first to second gear, mostly in stop and go traffic. The slower I accelerate the louder, more harsh the clunk is. The clunk can also be felt as a slight jerking motion as the shift into second occurs. I need some advice on what to look for so I can find the problem. Could it be any of the rear bushings?(trailing arm, etc.) I thought I read somewhere that this could be caused by a carrier bearing but I can't seem to find its description in my Bentley and I am not sure of the source of this diagnosis. Maybe a transmission problem? I really want to fix this problem, its getting kind of annoying. If any of you gentlemen have a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated.

Fondly,
Brandon P.
