Intermittent Odometer problem 200 1985

" Oh, my temperature gauge also reached the redline while I was driving all day yesterday...even with my A/C off"
If you are driving around in 110F heat, you'll probably be testing your cooling system's limits. If your rad is the original then it may be a bit clogged and due for a change.

Try not to let the gauge reach the red area. Though the engines are tough you may be in the head warp-head gasket failure zone. Better to suffer a bit by turning on the heating full blast (windows down) to lower engine temp.
