Steady high idle 700

I have a 89 760 turbo, LH 2.4, 176,000 mi. A week ago the turbo intake hose developed a leak and engine would hardly idle. I replaced the intake hose along with some poor looking output and vacum hoses. The car previously idled at about 800 in park (slight miss) but after changing the hoses it then idled at between 1200 and 1600. The idle speed didnt change while sitting but rather every time I stopped at a light or stop sign it would be different. I then cleaned and adjusted the TB very carefuly according to the FAQ (throttle stop, linkage and TPS). Now the car idles at a consistent, smooth and steady 1250 in park. I have carefully checked all linkage including the drum and cables for binding or being too tight and since there is only between 1/8 and 1/4 turn on the throttle stop, I dont see this being the culprit or be able to drop the idle speed enough to get back in spec. The car otherwise performs better than it ever has in the 1 year that I have owned it. Did I miss something or is there possibly something else causing this?

Thanks,
Jim
