Installing replacement engine, 2 unknown wires 700 1990

Both of those ring connectors appear to be ground connections. They should be bolted somewhere on the block. I think the AC one usually bolts to the aluminium mount bracket that is held in with the 4 large bolts but anywhere that has good ground on the block should be okay.


The distubitor should be removed and rotated and then bolted back down. It appears that you simply have installed the unit the wrong way.

The #1 contact would be the 3rd one up from the bottom in the orientation the unit is mounted at now.
