Engine overheating... 700 1987

G'Day

I had a nice little chat with the other person who was in the car with her,
she said that the temperature was in the cold section and also told me that
it only moved a tad since their 44 kilomitre trip. usually it would be in
the middle or 3/4 towards the red on extremely hot days towing a trailer.

And after the incident I remember my girlfriend telling me that she heard a
"boom" noise and steam came out from under the bonnet,Now My Girlfiend, who
nows a fair bit about cars, said that each time before she use the car, she'd
check the oil and water, I asked her if she did that day and she said "Yes"
and she said that day it was out of water and filled it up and also said that
the previous day it had no water in it either and filled it up that day too.

So after that, I checked the cooling system out and it turned out that one
of the plastic tanks on the side of the radiator had a huge split in the side
of it and the bottom hose and clip were not too far behind giving up too.
