jumpy speedometer 200 1989

past month the speedometer started jumping on the 240.
At idle, car at stop, it spuratically jerks up rfom 0 to 20ish within 1/2 second. Does this 3 to 4 times per minute interval.

What can cause this? The corner of my eye sees it and it is annoying :)
