1) You can turn the distributor 90 degrees and move the plug wires over one hole, instead of flipping 180 degrees.

2) You can pull the drive gear and reorient it. It's a bit finicky to get it to drop back into the oil pump slot, but it can be done.

3) You can remove the vacuum can entirely for now and tape up the hole. You will have to do something to keep the breaker plate from turning while that mechanism is absent and not holding it steady.
