Help...again. rough after starting/random stalling...causing an accident 200

I posted a while ago about my 1988 245 5 speed hesitating a lot while accelerating. I found that the connection of the o2 sensor was bad (one of the metal contacts had slipped out of the plastic boot, so i bent the backtab back and put it back in). this seemed to fix the probelm for a few weeks, but the car would occasionally lurch/hesitate mainly when starting from a stop. This usually only happened within the first few minutes of driving. However, last weekend i was driving for about 45 minutes when the car suddenly stalled while i tried to accelerate up a hill. For the record i am relatively new at driving stick, but i dont think most of this is due to my driving... After the car stalled, i turned it back on and it ran rough. Then came a left turn at a stop sign. After letting the car idle at the stop for a bit, to make sure it seemed ok, i pulled out. THe car hesitated for a few seconts a few feet into the intersection, and resulted in getting the rear quarter panel of the car hit by a gmc sierra. This was not a pretty sight. However, because the car is so ridiculously strong, and he missed the wheel by about 6 inches, it is still drivable. Since this incident, i have tried driving the car a few times, and the hesitation from starting from a stop seems to have gotten worse. It also stalled randomly once again...this time while coasting down a hill. I was thinking the problem may have somehting to do with a slipping clutch, but i'm not sure. it tends to do it most (but not always) before the clutch is let all the way out, as soon as the car is put in gear. Please let me know what you think, i dont want to get in another accident!
