Not trying to argue here, just posting an observation from working on my own car. Perhaps someone installed some electrical loom components from a P1800...

I'll agree that overall, the PV's seem to have pretty robust wiring, and it has plastic insulation instead of the earlier linen covering (thank God!)

Still, if you end up with a 'no current' situation, I'd check each side of those connectors - just to make sure you're getting juice and a decent ground.

So far I've had to rebuild my fuse box (connectors as described in my post above) and the front light gang plug on the inner front left fender. It disintegrated due to the plastic getting hard and brittle with age.

As we all know, each and every old PV has its quirks and oddities, mostly due to previous owners cobbling repairs to keep the cars on the road a little longer.

Thankfully, we live in the eBay Age, when it's so much easier to find those unique and rare parts to get our cars back into decent shape.

BTW, did I mention that I won another trophy last Saturday? Got one of the Top Three at the monthy local show. Sweet!
