JB Weld??? 120-130

Hi Mario.

It was pretty simple. The top cover was only warn in one direction (the slot was bigger toward 1st and away from 3rd...can't explain it all that well, but if your's is warn, you'll see). Anyway I first cleaned up the area (the previous owner put a bunch of graphite goop to try to make the shift better), and roughened the area with my trusty Dremel. Then I cleaned it all with a Q-tip and acetone. I put masking tape around the inside and outside to make a dam for the JB. Then mixed it up and let it set for 20 minutes to get some body (as per instructions on the package). The I filled the dam.

Next, I re cut the slot with my Dremel and put it back to gether. Worked just fine. It still isn't perfect, but it is a definite improvement.

Cheers,
Craig
