Intermittent starting problems 200 1986

The next time it fails, try isolating the cause to either Fuel or Ignition, as follows...

Connect a temporary jumper wire between the LEFT side contacts of fuses 4 and 6.

This will run the pump(s) immediately, and may let you start the car, IF the ignition is OK.

If it starts, you know the ignition is OK and the jumper wire bypassed a fuel problem by "jumping over" the 25 amp blade fuse and the Fuel Relay.
