I know I'm sounding like a downer, but wrapping a header may really shorten its lifespan. I think the current practice is to have it ceramic coated to keep exhaust temp and flow optimum.

My information certainly isn't gospel, I'm just offering some input so that if you do spend some cash on a header you get the most bang for your buck.
