I follow 20k interval for a full flush.

One 940 uses synthetic, the other uses dino. The dino trans is at 250k and it still shifts great. I think the key more than anything is flushing, not as much what you flush it with. However, I think that the synthetic carries additional benefits. As I worked previously in a volvo specialty shop I know that a lot of people just don't even bother with it. I guess that goes for most makes though.
