150,000 miles later - I am Alive!

A reckless pickup truck driver? That's a first...

I'm sorry to hear for your crash. Good thing you weren't hurt. I know a gentleman who not long ago had his 1993 240 totaled by a deer. The insurance company offered him $4000, and he said take a hike. So they said, OK, let's find out what the market value is and look up three like vehicles for sale in this area.

The first one was $7300 at some dealer. They offered him $7000, he took it, and what do you know, he pald thousands less than that two years prior! So look at it this way, this is an opportunity to acquaint yourself with a new car.

A few years ago, I lent my dad my 1988 240GL, perfect running and driving, with 230k on the clock. He drove it for months and was t-boned by a driver running a red light. $13,000 of damage, but he walked out of it and is now driving a Volvo 940 with a ton of miles (all his).

Anyway I don't know the point of my post, but good going on the new purchase!
