I have this car: 142 with a 5.0L Ford mill. I did not do the conversion, just bought it on a lark about a month ago for a daily driver. I concur w/ the above. To do the conversion the engine mounts were redone completely, holes were cut in the front fenders, the exh manifolds were swapped L/R, and downpipes threaded from the front in a u-turn thru the holes. It required a new Modine bigger radiator to keep the temp down, and that required more cutting. There's a C4 auto and a slightly stronger 164 open 3.73:1 rear end.
I call her Frankie, short for Frankenstein. Bottom line: this is pretty fast off the line, dodges traffic like a champ and is fun. But no beauty. A classic sleeper. I lover her to pieces, but it is hard to recommend the surgery.
