Herb, I would be interested if you'd drop the vendor a line and ask what motivates them to continue selling this sub-par stuff. It's perplexing.

I wrote a sweet note about a year, said what high regard the BB has for fcp, and suggested that questionable stuff might harm them, it's not worth it. Got a nice response saying they had trouble finding alternatives, if I remember right, but no strong inclination to change. Again, if I remember right. :-)
