When I had mine out I tested it with the help of a grinding machine with a modified pully on the front tranny sprocket. Built a kind of a bracket with 2x4s and angle iron to hold tranny and OD steady during the test. Kind of involved, but worked pretty good.
In the end I wound up having the OD serviced by Bob Skoog.
