Anyway, yes you could run it off one headlamp connector. You probably would want to disable the bulb failure warning 'relay', as I believe it would trip on low beams due to having a relay coil working on one side of the car and an open circuit on the other. High beams don't run through the BFWR, so far as I know.
Its just that the existing wire harness runs around, who knows where. The wires disappear into that snake and ?? One can make a case that results are neater-cleaner-easier if you use the existing harness, but you'll still have a bunch of relay(s) and wires somewhere, in this case at the headlight(s). It certainly would work, though.
