Apparent PNP switch failure > Can I drive the car while waiting for the new switch? S90-V90

I could not find the PNP switch on the FCP website, so I called them.
They quoted $110 for genuine Volvo part.
It arrived today.
They have an aftermarket part, but I did not ask the price.
