Really, though, with a modest amount of work done to an F head, you might not even need dished pistons. I'd cc the heads on any F head you get your hands on (some have been shaved) and use one of those online CR calculators (89 mm bore, 80 mm stroke, stock B20) to see where you are. It all depends on what your HP goals are, that sort of backtracks (roughly) into how much PSI you will need, and that sort of backtracks into what CR you will need.
There are people who manage to get higerh CR motors to consumer higher boost levels, but the margin of error is just that much smaller. The higher the CR, the moire likely detonation (what will quickly kill the motor) is. The cooler the air in the intake, the better. The closer the mixture to optimum (12.5:1 under full power, even slightly more can help cool and calm detonation) the better.
