The other poster has it half right...turn the key (it is required!) one click CW to the IGN ON position, and depress the retaining button in lock cylinder behind dashboard...small pins and such are not required... the button is big enough that a small screwdriver or just about any tool should do it...the trick is that the button is somewhat buried behind/under dash. This pic should help...button is clearly visible.
