If your worst cylinder is only .006" over I'd recommend that you get the
cylinders honed smooth and not tapered and use std pistons and rings.
According to at least one of my manuals the standard size is 3.5008" which
is essentially the same as 3.501". Usually you can get by with standard stuff
up to 0.010" over. You might even be able to find a slightly used set of
8-bolt pistons. Or you might find a bargain in a 6-bolt crank, too. The key
is that the rods and pistons pretty much gotta match the crank but the mains
are all the same. And in a scrape you could use 8-bolt pistons with 6-bolt
rods by eliminating the bushing and doing a little honing and pressing or
shrinking them in.
