I'd thouught about replacing them with salvage yard parts, but finding a donor car is a tall order in Texas. Volvos just aren't that common here. More than likely I'll just skip it and keep my 100k belt changes. Doing the front seals is probably a good idea though. I've already got a failed dist. shaft seal and a water pump shaft with some play in it too. Not to mention the nicked cam lobe I noticed today looking through the oil fill...
I swear, I'm finding some sad stuff for a car with 126k on the clock and a dealer service record that's complete up to 120k. Guess you don't find what you're not looking for? Another odd thing I noticed, the back sode of my timing belt is polishd all smooth and shiny. Normal after 25k, or is it time for a new tensioner pully too?
