Go to www.nostalgicairparts.com order a sanden 709 compressor , have him rig it with fill ports on the back and fill it with ester ( he'll do that for a few extra bucks, well worth it ) Mount it up ( may have to move the bracket for the AMM up about an inch on the fender to clear the hose. This setup will cool way better than a stock compresor ( and generally cheaper ) To do it right get the volvo retro fit kit from www.fcpgroton.com it will have a new evaporator and almost all the orings ( just order a few extras of all the sizes to you can replace all the orings in the system.). Cheapit retrofit will function, but not as well, if you get the cheapie you will need to buy a new drier seperate.
If the old compressor locked up, get some flush and flush all the hoses and condensor
