Thanks, Ken.
The reason for the new battery is simply that the old Interstate was about 2 years past its stated lifespan and my wife wanted a new battery to feel more secure when driving alone. The battery in the car now is a brand new (2-week old) Interstate Megatron. The car had no unpleasant symptoms at all with the old battery. Now that I'm piecing things together, the horn problem started sometime after the new battery was installed. I still have the old battery. It was too good to use as a core. I'm going to do some tests after dinner with both batteries. The old one has been sitting in the garage at about 50 degrees for two weeks and it still has a charge of 12.4 volts. The new one that gets driven everyday only has a charge of 12.06. I'll post the results of my tests.
Thanks again.
