Engine and Brake Problems 900 1993

Gents-

I posted a little while back: My Engine started bucking at idle. It's the 2.9L I-6. Brought it into the dealer and they said I had bad compression in #4, and showing 1-1-3 and 1-1-5 on the OBD-I FI socket. I followed someone's advice and replaced the relays (as well as the FAQ's advice about reflowing the solder on the common point of the fuel injectors). That seemed to solve the Fuel injection issues.

Someone else recommended seafoam and then the 'Italian tune up' for the engine.

This morning I tried the seafoam, which didn't have an effect on the problem. I just got back from the Italian tune up... (made a lot of people upset on the highway). Kept it around 5000RPM (40mph) for 10-15 minutes. It didn't make the problem go away, as the engine still bucks at idle.

On the way, I noticed that my brakes seem to have gone. They feel like I lost power assist. Stopping is very difficult, and makes the car 'buck' in surges. When I had pulled the intake, I accidentally snapped off the brake booster valve. I bought and installed a new one (with new seal). It looks fine, so I don't think there's and issue there, but I’m very green here, so if there is something easy I can check for, that would help.

Any advice on what to try for the engine? How about what I should look for with the braking system?

Thanks
-Jim P.
