Engine and Brake Problems 900 1993

Thanks for the reply, poolman and AMSroadrunner!

I went out this morning with a short piece of hose. I could not find any air leaks, but I did hear an awful lot of air traveling in the short peice of hose that goes from the top of the 'ball' of the intake manifold to a sensor which hangs off of the air intake hose, right under the elbow. This was at idle. I found that I altered the noise significantly by sqweezing it.

Should a lot of air be traveling through here at idle?

All the thin hoses are fine (I can see both ends of each)

The thick hose to the brake booster is fine up top, and doesn't hiss down below (I can't really see it tho) didn't feel a vacume leak there.

The think hose the comes from the end of air intake elbow (right next to a thin hose) is ok up top, but it leads down between the manifold and block, so i'm not really sure how to check the other end. I blindly stuck a hose around down there but didn't hear anything.

Thanks agian for helping
-Jim P.
