I need help to 'start' 200 1989

Sounds like the neutral safety switch is out of alignment, so it doesn't think you're in Park or Neutral.

Try starting the car in Neutral.

If that fails, try wiggling the shifter as you hold the key (and the brake) in the Start position. If still nothing, you may need to pull the center console and see that the neutral safety switch hasn't come disconnected from the shift lever or something odd like that.

Another possibility is an ignition switch failure- not impossible but less likely than a problem with the neutral switch.
