Check engine light on and wallet empty. 200 1993

Hello Sailing:

Study up on reading the OBD codes in the 700/900FAQ-- the procedure for the 240 is the same. Read the codes and report back here-- each code has 3 digits.

You may have codes stored even when the CEL isn't on, so it is worth doing it now, and again when the light comes on again.

One thing that does set codes on the LH2.4 system is a very low idle-- the light will sometimes go on and then go off when you accelerate.

That is a good first step.

Good luck!
