You can bet the compressor is toast, either it leakes down or went crunchy.You can put one of those cheap low side gauges on it to seee if anything is still in the system, but I doubt it.jump 12v to the compressor clutch and try to turn the compressor.
New compressor is cheap here: www.nostalgicairparts.com I like to use the Sanden 709 have to wiggle the hoses around to get itin, but it cools better and less load on the engine.
