If the oil light won't go off, my guess is that the wire to the oil pressure switch has been damaged and is connecting to ground (earth) somewhere, probably right near the switch on the engine.
Your oil pressure switch is located just in front of the exhaust manifold, low on the right side of the engine block. Just about below the #1 spark plug. Above your power steering pump. The wire is exposed to heat, cold, water, oil and vibration and it's also possible, with this year and model car, that the wiring insulation material is starting to crumble.
Inspect the exposed part of the wiring for damage- these wires have even been known to get crushed under the edge of the oil filter. The wire might even be off, touching the power steering pump or something weird. It should be a single wire to a 1-pin plug on the switch itself.
If it all looks good and is secure where you can see it, there may be a problem with wires inside the harness assembly and that's not a real good thing.
As for the ringing, check that all your brake lights are working. If those are ok, the problem is more likely in the driver's door switch (the switch that turns on the dome light, located in the door jamb.) I have heard that having 2 brake lights out will trigger a warning chime, but I've never actually seen it in my experience.
