missing voltage 700 1990

On a 740 it's in the fuse box. Remove ashtray and coin box/cig lighter to access it. Red cylindrical relay plugged into the left front of the fuse/relay panel.

Get a junkyard part or pry it open to re-solder. The failure for the brake lights seems to occur right on the top deck of circuit boards inside, right against the outer edge.

It's a fairly high-current connection in there- power comes in on one wire and leaves on two. It's the input wire but just look for the burnt connection. Fresh solder and it should be repairable. If not, a junkyard unit will work fine. They also appear on Ebay regularly.
