A/C in a PV 444-544

That car has the older style B16 nose/hinges/radiator. Nothing in front of the radiator, but those bulky hinges protrude into the engine compartment when closed. I thought they would have interfered witha compressor mounted int he normal position, but I guess that modern style rotary compressor is smaller. you wouldn't want to put one together with one of those huge York piston comrpessors anyhow, I guess.

The radiator that fits that nose (and between those hinges) is fairly narrow too, not a lot of excess cooling capacity once you've moved up from a B16 to a warmed up 2.1L B20. Much less without an A/C condensor in front of the radiator adding to the thermal load.
