They are remarkably quirk free for an old car. They have the same well de-bugged and bullet proof mechanicals as the Volvo sedans. One 'quirk' would be their tendency to rust if provoked (driving on salted winter roads).
Other than that, they are just reliable and dependable to a much greater extent than their contemporaries. The exact amount of reliability at this point in their lives is highly dependent on the quality of parts used on it and the skill used in maintaining it.
