fuse #16...? 700

"Remove the wire(s) from one end of the #16 socket and connect them to one side of the new fuse holder. Connect the wire(s) from the other end of the #16 socket to the other side of the fuse holder."

You can't do this. That is why it is covered in the FAQs. The supply wire to 16 also supplies power to other fuses. If you disconnect it from 16, you lose the 12volts to other systems. That is why it discusses "splicing" into the power side.
