the 240 is a 5 spd man. theres about 4-5 inches of play (left to rt) on the stick shift and getting into reverse sometimes requires a little grinding.

so if it's not any more difficult than swapping one manual tranny with another than its more than worth it.

i pd 50 bucks for the 740, and a tranny at pick and pull is 99$ pluss the 1.5 hr drive 1 way.

are the motor mounts the same. cause the engines look identical
