I just installed a new steel gear set in my 122/B20. It is noticeably louder than the fiber gear, but solved the 'knocking' at idle that I was getting and the timing is much more stable. The turbine like whine when accelerating from a stop is a little bit unsettling, but I've done about 1k mi. since the job and everything seems fine.
